FEBRUARY 2012

LESSON THEME

Being Love, Loved and in Love

By

Rev Ian Taylor

FEBRUARY 5th

LESSON: First Love

· God is love.

· We cannot see love, nor grasp any comprehension of what love is, except as love is clothed with a form.

· All the love in the universe is God.  The love between husband and wife, between parents and children, is just the least little bit of God, as pushed forth through visible form into manifestation.

A mother’s love, so infinitely tender, so unfailing, is God’s love, only manifested in greater degree by the mother.

FEBRUARY 12th

Guest Speaker – Barbara Gilfillan, RScP
Lesson:
"Choosing Me before We"

(How to get more love, & better relationships by loving yourself first! )

· Love walks in and opens the door when all else fails.

· There is no problem on earth that Love cannot heal.

Love is the answer to every human need.

FEBRUARY 19th

LESSON: Loving the person in the mirror

· It is not strange that we are drawn to the one who loves truly;

· It is not strange that we love; for God is Love, and in Love we have our Being.

· The mystery is why we do not love all men more.  We shall, when we see that love is God in action, and that we are opportunities for the expression of God-Love.

Love is not emotion; it is Life.  Without Love, Life would not be.  God so loves that He gives His all in expression.  This is why we live.

FEBRUARY 26th

LESSON: Living in your world of love

· Love is forgiving . . . and love is for giving.

· The heart and soul of all men being one, this bitterness of His and Mine ceases.

· His is mine.  I am my brother and my brother is me.

· If I feel overshadowed and outdone by great neighbors, I can get love; I can still receive; and he that loveth maketh his own the grandeur he loves.

That is the supreme work to which we need to address ourselves in this world, to learn Love.  Is life not full of opportunities for learning Love?  Every man and woman every day has a thousand of them.  The world is not a play-ground; it is a schoolroom.  Life is not a holiday, but an education.  And the one eternal lesson for us all is how better we can love.
